IT products and services sector and telecommunication services are one of the fastest developing area of economy both in Poland and worldwide.
Just in the financial services sector global expenses for IT will increase for a total amount of 363,8 billion USD in 2011 which means 3,7% growth in comparison with 2010 (Celen's research rapport). Hardware segment which was particularly hit by the crisis of 2009 (the loss of value of 19%) is in the same time the segment where the most dynamic growth is expected in the course of the two next years. The second largest segment are the IT services, they constitute 35% of market, and the third is the software market (around 22%). It is anticipated that the upward tendency on the service and software market will be kept stable.
Polish market is, after Russian, second biggest market in East-Central Europe. It is expected that in 2011 the value of the market will rise to the total amount of around 28 billion PLN which means a two-digits dynamics.
A characteristic feature of Polish IT market is a large dispersion – medium and large enterprises constitute only 10% of the total amount of companies. Downward margins and raising competition make the stronger amalgamation tendency and as a result a growing need for professional managerial staff.
